Suri Dream Giveaway Winner

Yarn Giveaway! – Closed

Suri Dream Giveaway

While working on my WIP inventory last week I found this stash of Knit Pick’s Suri Dream yarn (color: Grass).  I have eleven skeins I know I’m never going to use.  It was intended for a lap blanket for the couch many years ago but I personally didn’t end up liking the feel of the knitted yarn. So here are the rules for the giveaway!

  1.  The giveaway will run 6/1/2015 Noon through 6/14/2015 Midnight (US Central time)
  2. To enter leave a comment with your favorite yarn on this post. Comments on any other post will be ignored.
  3. For a second entry “like” my Facebook page or post. Be sure to include in your comment that you liked my Facebook (or add a second comment).
  4. At least 25 unique entries are required for the giveaway. Otherwise it will be canceled or rescheduled.
  5. The winner will be e-mailed and given 72 hours to reply with a mailing address.  After that a second winner will be chosen.

International entries are welcome.  Let all your friends know if you think they’d like this yarn.  Good luck everyone!

Beaded Cable Belt

Finished Belt

Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll Tonal Harvest (25/100 g)
Yarn Weight: Fingering
Needles: Size US 3  (3.25 mm)
Other Materials: Twisted Sister Metal Rain Beads 6/0

Butterfly Buckle (2.25″ tall by 3.5″ wide)

5 small white buttons

Time Spent: 11 hours
Dates: 8/13/2012 – 12/8/2012

I made this belt for a giveaway last month but had to wait for the winner to finish it to the right size.  I really like this belt.  It was quick and easy and I love how it turned out.  I may make myself another one in colors more to my style next year!

Belt Inside SmallThe winner chose the butterfly buckle but I will  include the silver interlocking buckles as well.  One of the reasons I love this belt is that it is adjustable in size and you can interchange different buckles.  The buckles attach by buttoning the ends down to the inside of the belt.  You can add more buttons for different sizing options.  I did 5 buttons.  Two on one side and three on the other.

Overall the whole thing went very well.  I did procrastinate and put it off a few times but now it’s done and ready to be shipped out!

Last Chance! Giveaway Ends Today

There’s only a few more hours to enter for the beaded belt giveaway.  It ends at midnight CST tonight.  Enter before it’s too late!  It would make a great Christmas gift or keep it for yourself =)

Happy Thanksgiving and New Giveaway Pics

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!  I am going to be seeing my family later this afternoon so I better get this post out now.  I have better pics for the beaded belt giveaway I’m doing.  I was very disappointed in the quality of the pics I got for the buckles so I’m here to fix that today.

There is a story here but I will post that soon.  The short version is I bought a new camera and found out I couldn’t do what I wanted with it.  I bought the Canon Rebel T3 to replace my point and shoot.  Sadly the lens kit that came with it could not get me close up photos I was happy with.  Well all my knitting is close up!  I bought myself this early Christmas present: Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II lens.

The lens was delivered a few days ago so here are the new buckle pics for my giveaway which you can enter through Monday the 26th from this post: Giveaway – Beaded Cable Belt!

Gold Flower Buckle

Silver Circle Interlock Buckle

Butterfly Buckle

Silver Interlock Buckle

Gold Triple Flower Buckle

Gold Design Buckle

I wonder if people will change which buckle is their favorite with these better pics. Feel free to enter for the belt yourself or maybe as a Christmas gift for someone else!!
