Photo Update: Infinity Drop Stitch and Ambigram Scarves

Over the Easter weekend I gave my sister the two scarves I knit for her.  Today she sent me the pics of her modeling them for me =) These are for the Infinity Drop Stitch Scarf and the Ambigram Scarf.

I like the drop stitch scarf better in person but the ambigram scarf looks better in the pictures.  I think both scarves look better double wrapped.  I did like how we twisted the infinity drop stitch scarf with the one loop though.  It’s not like this normally; it was twisted from taking it on and off and I liked how it looked when Lisa was walking around with it.

30 Days of Knitting Questions – Day 11

Continuing my posts from the tumblr account Crafts and Such that has a list of 30 knitting questions; one for each day.

Day 11:  Do you have a “Knitter Hero” or someone that is just way too awesome for their own good? Do share!

Sadly, no.  I don’t personally know many other knitters and most of those are beginners.  Similar to designers I haven’t really paid attention.  I’m really starting to feel guilty about this.  I need to start paying attention to the people instead of just the information/patterns/pretty pictures that I look up.

I will say that the one name I do know is Deborah Newton.  There are two reasons: her Finishing School: a Master Class for Knitters book and her Holiday Hat’s interview.  How can you not like someone who loves to get a reaction out of people whether it’s good or bad?  I came across that interview when her Finishing School book was out of stock and I was looking for a place to get it.  I loved that interview.  If anyone knows if she has her own blog please let me know.  I would love to read that.

I still can’t really call her my “Knitter Hero” yet but let’s say it’s a beginning.  I’ve been knitting for three years and that was the only name I knew off the top of my head.  Well in a positive way at least.
