30 Days of Knitting Questions – Day 7

Continuing my posts from the tumblr account Crafts and Such that has a list of 30 knitting questions; one for each day.

Day 7: Your least favorite? (piece that you’ve knit)

It may be unfair but I absolutely hate this hat I made for my niece, Sophie. It was my first time working with cotton and wow did I hate it. Not only did I not like the yarn I was using but the hat ended up way too small. Luckily her younger sister, Molly, was still a baby and it fit her. I highly doubt it still fits her now.

I ended up making a different hat for Sophie that was a lot better so she wasn’t left out.  I think Molly even looks better in Sophie’s hat than the horrible cotton hat. But how could you beat the ears sticking out on both kids?  That cotton hat never had a chance.
