I was so glad to finish this scarf.  It was definitely one of the top 5 longest projects I’ve worked on.  It’s also  has the most complex lace pattern I’ve ever worked on.  The stitches themselves weren’t difficult but the pattern repeat was too much to memorize.  Near the end I think I almost had it down but I certainly wouldn’t try to work on it without the pattern in front of me.  I did enjoy it and if I ever have a goth friend I will be making another one in black.

Unfortunately I don’t have a goth friend and I have to figure out what to do with this one.  I don’t like to wear red; I think it looks particularly bad on me.  I like the color it’s just not something I will wear.  Nobody asked me to make this for them so  I made it just for the fun of it. I’ve thought about it for a while and I will try to do my first giveaway on the blog.

Next week I will post a giveaway for this scarf (with more pics) so watch for it if you like the scarf!

  1. Beautiful color and wonderful job on the pattern.

how do i get the pattern of the beautiful scarf? PLEASE SUPPLY ME WITH THIS PATTERN

  4. Wow this is lovely!! Amazing job! I’ve been knitting for less than a year so I’m a pretty new knitter and I’ve been working up the courage to work on a lace project. I bought some pretty merino wool lace last month but I haven’t found anything to do with it yet! I just might have to try this. 🙂
